Kraków-born tennis ace Agnieszka Radwańska has reached the final of the WTA tournament in Tokyo, beating France’s Angelique Kerber 6:1, 6:1.
Radwańska will play Russian Nadezhda Petrova in the final. Petrova beat Samantha Stosur, of Australia, 6:4, 6:2. The Pole now has her sights set on her 11th career victory, and hopes to add to her wins earlier this year in Dubai, Miami and Brussels.
But it hasn’t been a walk in the park for Radwańska, who put up a brave fight at Wimbledon this year only to lose to the American Serena Williams in the final. And she made an early exit in this summer’s Olympic games in London.
