Come amateurs, come professionals, come young, come old – Kraków’s skating open day will take place on Błonia Meadow on Saturday, October 13, with the star attraction set to be a 70km race.
If 20 times around the field sounds a bit much but you still wnt to push yourself, sign up for the 21km event instead, which is also open to all. Young skaters will find plenty of entertainment too, with competitions over 500m, 1,500m, and 3,500m.
Around 400 people are expected to take part in the races, and everyone will get a commemorative medal. Registration costs from 10zł to 100zł – and you wear a helmet if you want to compete. The event has been organised by Krakowski Klub Sportów Wrotkarskich, and is sponsored by the city of Kraków.
