A long-awaited tram link into Kraków’s Ruczaj estate, opened less than a year ago, will be closed for the next month to allow further construction work.
From October 15, trams number 12 and 18 will terminate at Grota-Roweckiego, instead of following their regular route into Ruczaj. Tram number 15 will be redirected to cover a new route taking in Pleszów, Dworzec Główny and Dworzec Towarowy.
Students, office workers and Ruczaj residents will instead have to take a replacement bus service to their work, homes and classrooms. Tram number 72 will run from Łagiewniki to Rondo Grunwaldzkie, Starowiślna, Westerplatte, Dworzec Główny, Basztowa, Dunajewskiego, Straszewskiego, Piłsudskiego, and Cichy Kącik. Bus 714 will be extended, from Kampus UJ to Łagiewniki.
