The Czech president Vaclav Klaus visited Kraków to place flowers on the grave of former Polish president Lech Kaczyński and his wife Maria, at Wawel cathedral.
President Klaus also visited Kraków’s Sukiennice and the Mariacki church, before meeting members of the Czech community at the International Cultural Centre. It was his last visit to Poland as head of the Czech Republic – as he will not stand in the election scheduled for January.
