It took Williams – who beat Radwańska in this year’s Wimbledon final – just over an hour to deal another defeat to the Pole. The match ended 6-2 6-1.
Radwańska was visibly tired, after her epic match against Sara Errani on Friday. The battle lasted three hours and 24 minutes, making it the longest in WTA championship history. Despite defeat, Radwańska finishes the WTA championship year ranked fourth – behind Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, Russia’s Maria Sharapova, and Williams.
Williams will face Sharapova in the final on Sunday, after the Russian beat Azarenka 6-4 6-2.
