A ticket machine on board a Kielce bus almost made one passenger 100zł richer – when it malfunctioned and released hundreds of coins as change.
The passenger on the number 2 line tried to buy his ticket on the morning of January 23. The machine printed the ticket, but then started to empty its coin box.
The passenger informed the bus driver and returned all of the cash, and public transport operator MPK Kielce repaired the machine.
A spokesman for MPK confirmed that the incident had happened. He said it was a one-off, but that incidents involving just a few coins did sometimes occur. The spokesman thanked the passenger for his honesty.
