A branch of the children’s hospital in Lublin has opened a new ‘parent zone’ – believed to be the first of its kind in Poland.
The facility at the department of surgery and traumatology includes showers, beds, and a kitchen, so mums and dads can stay with their children round the clock while they are in hospital. It has been designed to help youngsters recover by lowering anxiety at being separated from their parents, and to give parents a comfortable environment whilst their children are in the hosptial’s care.
The hospital plans to extend the facility to all 19 of its clinics and departments, and is looking for sponsors from the business community to help make this happen.
