The work of Romuald Oramus and Stanisław Sobolewski, two prolific Kraków painters, is on display at an exhibition Galeria Miejska BWA Bydgoszcz.
The exhibition draws on work by both, from the three decades of change and upheaval in Poland, between 1980 and 2011. Each decade has its own theme, with the 80s representing the community and political context, the 90s focusing on the dawn of a new post-communist reality, and the years 2000 to 2011 marking the arrival of a new millennium.
Sobolewski was born in Kraków in 1952, and Oramus a year later in the same city. Both studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, before the developing their careers through exhibitions at home and abroad.
The exhibition will run until February 24.
