A row is brewing in Sopot over the location of a memorial to the former Polish President Lech Kaczyński and his late wife Maria (pictured), both killed in the Smoleńsk plane crash.
Councillors agree that there should be a monument in the city – where the President and First Lady once lived – but cannot agree on where.
One proposal is to erect the monument at Sopot’s cemetery, while others would like to see it built at Plac im. Arkadiusza Rybickiego.
The situation is yet to be resolved.
