Two held after knife raids on shops

 

 

 

 

 

 

Two men have been arrested after a series of armed robberies at shops in Warmińsko-Mazurskie.

Shop assistants were threatened with knives in four stores in Nagórki, Pieczewo and Pojezierze, near Olsztyn. Police said that at least 6,000zł in cash and 3,000zł worth of public transport tickets were stolen.

Krzysztof O, 35, and Przemysław W, 27, have been arrested in connection with the robberies. Money, a knife and tickets were recovered by police during raids on March 24. The following day, Olsztyn district court remanded both men in custody for three months.

The men face at least three years in jail if convicted.
