The Kraków Post magazine is celebrating its 100th birthday this month – marking the occasion with a special April edition, a free party and a photography masterclass.
Readers, contributors, advertisers and friends are invited to the party for the magazine, on April 12, at Stara Zajezdnia Krakow in Kazimierz. The bash starts at 7.30pm, and there are more details on the magazine’s Facebook page.
The April edition of the Kraków Post features a collage of the best front pages from the first 100 issues, and a two-page spread about the history of the publication. There’s also the usual mix of original features and news on culture, business, and more in Kraków – including a behind the scenes look at Islam in the city.
The day after the party, American photographer Gokhan Cukurova will give a street photography workshop. Gokhan visits Kraków each year to deliver his in-demand wedding photography workshops, but this year agreed to help the Kraków Post celebrate their centenary edition too. The Post’s managing director and photographer David McGirr will also be at the event, along with members of Krakow Photography Group.
Entry is 30zł (book in advance) or 40zł on the day – sign up before the event by visiting the Facebook event page. The price includes a drink, theory session, and two-hour practical session, all beginning at Hawełka Miód i Wino in the city centre, on April 13 from 1pm. There will also be a social event later in the evening.
