Polish striker Robert Lewandowski showed Cristiano Ronaldo how football should really be played, scoring four goals for Borussia Dortmund to trounce the petulant Portuguese’s side Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
Ronaldo slipped just one past the Dortmund defence, as Lewandowski turned on a flair that he rarely shows in the national side – scoring a hat-trick and adding one more for luck.
The Pole’s goal haul included a penalty – leaving Real with the almost hopeless task of reaching the final after the second leg.
And, with Bayern Munich beating Barcelona 4-0 the day before, the odds are that there will be an all German final at London’s Wembley in May… with a Polish striker gunning for glory.
